Starvation, A "Count Calories" Diet Compounds Problem, Is Not A Fix

A Diabetic (and others) are told to regain health they need to lose weight, and they set out to do so with the usual cut calorie input,, starve and deprive, and exercise like crazy to "burn calories" diet.

Highest calorie count food is fat, so first thing to go in all these popular diet craze advice is: "cut fat out" to lower calorie total fast.
Sure enough, if you starve yourself of calories, exercise and burn more calories then you eat, you Will Indeed Lose Weight. The goal and success of a starvation "count calorie" diet is only to lose weight, (NOT TO LOSE FAT)

This Is The Start Of Escalating Ongoing Disaster For A Diabetic (or anyone)

When you go into a starvation mode of less calorie input then you are burning, your body detects and goes into self preservation "famine" mode. Your body concludes there is a famine in progress, and only those that retain and have fat to dole out over time (with low fat input expected) during a famine will survive.

Your Body Survival System Will Preserve EVERY BIT of fat, Burn ONLY MUSCLE to make up shortage.

Yes, you lose weight, but it will not be fat, the weight loss is muscle mass.

Loss of muscle mass is a further disaster for a diabetic and is one of the reasons he has developed diabetes.

Your body in your younger years had lots of active muscle to dump high sugar levels into. As you got older and became less active the muscle mass declined right along with the high sugar absorption ability. With high resistance developing over long term to sugar storage in cells and less muscle to place it, sugar levels got out of control, and that is diabetes.

Now You Compound The Problem By Not Losing Fat, On This Diet You Are Losing More Muscle Mass.

Now understand where it compounds. Eventually, like all starvation "count calorie" dieters you can no longer stand to starve and deprive yourself and after losing 20 pounds of muscle mass you go back to putting it back on. This is called yo-yo dieting and when YOU REGAIN, you DO NOT regain the 20 pounds of lost muscle back, you put it back even faster then usual as MORE FAT.

Remember your body has the "famine in progress" decision as mode of operation (you sent that signal when you went on starvation diet) and now craves, searches out and stores ever bit of available sugar as FAT. (part of survival instinct)

The compounding problem now is, the diabetic has 20 pounds less muscle to absorb (or dump high sugar peaks) and result is even higher diabetic sugar peaks and resulting higher insulin level which is what makes your body add fat cell expansion, so now higher sugar peaks mean faster fat making.
Every time you do another starvation diet to force weight loss you add in this yo-yo dieting, an increased rate of adding fat, every time that you go off it again.

You are causing your fat making problem and high sugar peaks problem to escalate each time, as a diabetic.

Correct Diet Solution For A Diabetic (or anyone)
Stop High Carb Input, Eat High Fat and Protein You needed to lose fat, not weight necessarily, and the only way you are going to get your body to burn fat is to stop giving it sugar to burn. Your body will switch back to burning fat like it was designed to do. Switch gradually over ten days, like nature does at end of high sugar season (summer fruit season) and eating fat animals (high fat input in the fall) at end of summer high sugar season signals the switch.

Now your body will run on and burn fat as a mode of natural operation. Weight you lose now will be natural fat burning (no more muscle burning) and will lose excess fat since you have stopped adding fat (only sugar (carbs) adds body fat (not eaten fat) and you have stopped (all fat making) carb input. 

Key Here Is Very High Fat Input
.....and you will resist this.....from carryover of your 35 years of "low fat" indoctrination. Wise up. This is essential to signal your body, "high sugar is over, fat burning is back.
You can not over eat fat. and you need to immediately replace carbs cut out with FAT.
Your body will signal you when you have had enough. (unlike high sugar does not)

Write this down.....and verify it if necessary.... to get it straight in your head. once and for all....

Eating High Fat Does Not Make ANY Body Fat Only carbs are turned into Body Fat. Eat all the fat you can find except EXCLUDE all man made vegetable fat, trans fat, hydrogenated fat.

Saturated fat from grass fed animals, no limitation, eat fat meat. Butter is health food etc.

Diabetics...Remember, Fat does not raise blood sugar NOR insulin levels. only carbs.
Wake Up, Pay Attention, "Without Hassle", Lose body fat and lower blood sugar naturally.
