Why Your Body Hangs On To Every Ounce Of Fat | |||||||||||||
When You Lose Weight Starving YourselfYour Body Is Eating Your Muscle MassYou Thought You Were Losing Fat.....When You Regain, -Muscle Mass Is NOT Regained, These Become New Fat Cells.Yo Yo Diet Like This 3 Times and You Are In Trouble, Sugar Peak Absorbing Muscle Mass Is Gone, Your Body Is Now Flab.
Understand this concept and you understand why calorie counting starvation diets wind up making you a FAT PERSON DISASTER. It took me three years and over 150 books and thousands of studies before I grasped how this works.Originally, I thought you were like the bear and you and your ancestors inherited this make fat cells over the summer "high sugar" season so you would be able to run on your fat during winter low food input. Thats true for the bear, he STOPS eating and lowers his metabolism sleeping and makes it thru the no food season on his stored fat. During the high sugar summer season he is desperately after anything sweet and is driven by nature to eat as much as 20 hours a day. Those bears that did not did not make it thru the winter, because they did not put o on enough fat.I learned about the high sugar summer season when man switched to sugar operation and fat storage mode. This switch for man to sugar mode operation and fat store mode, is turned on in the spring, by all animals eaten are NO or Very Low Fat by now, and Sugar Input goes up. The body switches from burning fat and operates ENTIRELY on sugar input. During this switch to sugar burning mode, or period, survival instinct says NO FAT burning whatsoever. Short of food, your body switches to burn muscle. We have to retain every bit of fat for over the winter..... .......and here is where you an I had the wrong idea. Man does NOT need the stored fat like the bear, to live on.......over the winter. He needs the fat for another reason. One study I read made it clear. I had read man has to have essential fats to process other food. If he gets none of these fats, to go along with and process his other food, no matter how much he eats he will die. The Inuit Indians of the North, figured it out according to Weston Prices research. (1930's)If you had no source of fat over the long winter the Inuit figured out you died. They called it "rabbit fever". You could catch plenty of rabbits to eat over the winter, But if you did not have some fat to supplement the winter no fat left rabbits, you died and they called it "Rabbit fever" They had figured out an old moose has a fat storage area in his neck that lasted all winter. *Young moose did not". They had to kill an old moose and shared the fat with the entire tribe and made it thru the winter. That story and a more recent story on a study on the importance of essential fats, filled in another missing piece of the puzzle. As I recall it......Adding full fat salad dressing the body absorbed 100% of the nutrients in the leaves. Adding low fat salad dressing as I recall test subjects absorbed about half the nutrients in the salad, and with NO FAT salad dressing my recollection is the absorbed NONE of the nutrients. Other studies along the line fleshed this all out to understand that if you did not have the essential fats to go along with it.... Man would die and apparently did over the winter when animals had little or no fat left on their body.Unless you stored something like nuts etc like the squirrel does, or carried some body fat in to the winter, man did not survive to spring. Therefore survivors where only those who stored some body fat. Your inherited survival system says YOU HAVE TO STORE and save EVERY bit of Fat..to make it thru fat starvation season.During high sugar season if short of energy you become ravishingly hungry for something sweet. Your body will burn NONE of your fat, in high sugar season, it will switch to burning muscle mass during shortages, (self imposed starvation calorie counting diets.) In the fall after first frost, sugar input essentially stopped and by now all the animals eaten were fat from summer "high sugar" food.Your ancestors body switched to FAT BURNING season. You were eating fat and living on burning that fat. The stored body fat made from eating high sugar foods over the summer, was primarily "Saved" for late winter when animal fats were gone. Your problem is you stay on LOW FAT high sugar input all year around, the year around "fat storing season..Your body automatically stays on the fat storing survival mode...it is natural survival instinct to be ravishingly hungry for anything sweet and eat every bit you can get your hands on...during high sugar season...........does this sound familiar? The secret.....switch to high fat input and no sugar input (like natures fall season) and you are in fat burning mode....Your body will switch to run on fat...its normal operating mode...... it says no need to store or retain fat, i am eating plenty to survive. Now, understanding muscle mass.....They looked for him for two days..(had been spooked by a train whistle.) Had to go back home several states away but left flyers everywhere about their lost dog. (Buck) Somebody in the area found him six months later, having survived the winter often as much as 20 below zero. They remembered they still had the flyer on a "lost dog", called the owners who happily retrieved their dog who was now 40 pounds lighter. This dog survived eating his muscle mass. His body got the energy needed to survive from his muscle mass. Supplemented whatever else he found,When you are in sugar operating mode and starved, you burn your muscle mass. When you lose 20 pounds on this starvation diet (counting calories) you lost 20 pounds of muscle mass. You were delighted...thought you had lost 20 pounds of fat. You will (they always do) give up on starving eventually and regain weight, and the weight gain will go to making fat cells. Your body is convinced you have shortage periods (starvation you tried) and needs every bit of fat you can store. To make a long story short....after two or three cycles of this.....you have lost enough of your muscle mass now replaced by fat cells that when you have high sugar input, the normal safety place to keep from drowning in high blood sugar was to force your muscle mass (with high insulin) to absorb the high sugar peak temporarily. Now much of your muscle mass is gone,(by the way, it is normal to naturally lose 1% of your muscle mass per year after 40,)This is why as you get older losing muscle mass is leading to either obesity, (no place to dump sugar peaks except make fat) or become diabetic....no place to handle sugar peaks adequate any more. (Solution, stop all sugar peaks.)This is over simplification but maybe gives you an insight of how i now completely to my satisfaction finally understand why all this fat phobia is going on and why the LOW FAT craze is causing the very thing that they are trying to avoid. If you think i am wrong...look at the statistics since the low fat craze became the "IN" thing. Now you understand (hopefully) why (check this out) all the people you know who are very carefully eating "low fat" are automatically fat...and getting fatter...and all the people you know eating high fat and low carb are thin. This will also help explain (hopefully if i did a good job) of why those calorie counting yo yo diets are counter-productive and put you in big trouble.
